Tall Utah Celery seeds

SKU: TUC745

Tall Utah Celery is a disease-resistant heirloom that dates back to the '50s. One of our favorite things about this variety is that the stalks are stringless, so there is little prep work utilized in the kitchen. Tall Utah Celery is a great starter variety that will convert you away from the store-bought stuff. If you have never tried homegrown celery

Each flavor-packed stalk is a medium to dark green with high juice content. When growing this variety, you also get a 2-for-1 vegetable since the roots (a.k.a celeriac root) can also be utilized. The root has a more tame celery flavor with t turnip or potato texture. These are cool-weather crops and are best planted during early spring for a summer harvest or late summer for a fall harvest. Celery thrives in wet soil rich in nutrients.
