Broccoli Raab seeds
Broccoli Raab goes by an entire host of names. This is one of our favorites as the entire plant from base to top is edible. Unlike traditional standard broccoli, broccoli raab has a thick stem that branches off into several smaller stalks. Each stalk has what has a similar appearance to a broccoli head but the buds are all on separate stems as opposed to one tight crown.
Broccoli Rabb is a desirable vegetable due to its slightly bitter flavor that works well in Mediterranean cuisine. Broccoli raab is actually closely associated with the turnip family which may explain its diverse flavor profile.
Broccoli Raab is quick to mature. Like most brassicas, Broccoli Raab does best in cooler weather so you want to plant this in the Spring or beginning of Autumn. These need full sun and they can be started indoors if you have a shorter growing season. These can also be grown in containers. A 5-gallon container or larger is required for optimal growth.
