Purple Russian tomato seeds

The Purple Russian tomato is a prolific beauty! Originally from Ukraine, this variety found its way to the U.S and gardeners rejoice in its arrival. Purple Russian tomatoes are plum-oblong-shaped tomato that has attractive olive-green shoulders, and a deep red hue. The outside is always smooth and crack-resistant to boot! 
 
These are extremely meaty with low acidity and sweet flesh that lends itself well to summer tomato salads, salads, grilling, canning, and sun drying. This is an indeterminate variety and the generosity of this plant doesn't hold it back. You will have more than enough to share. We grew a couple of these in containers and were harvesting tomatoes almost daily. 
 
These do extremely well in containers. Even with a 5-gallon container, we were able to get high yields from these guys. Your tomatoes range between 3" and -4" long.
