Cherokee Purple Tomato seeds
The Cherokee Purple Tomato is an old-time heirloom believed to be passed down from the Cherokee Indians. Vigorous vines will produce an ample amount of tomatoes. The exterior is smooth with a dark dusky red color while the shoulders have a deep olive color. The flavor is sweet and earthy with a slight tanginess. The vine will reach an average of 8-9 feet with each tomato weighing close to 16 oz. These tomatoes will range from a uniform round shape to a subtle ribbed depending on how big they get, watering habits, etc. These are extremely popular and one of the best sandwich tomatoes hands down. These also do very well in containers.
