Tetsukabuto F1 Pumpkin seeds
The Tetsukabuto F1 is a cross between a kabocha and butternut squash. These two have been cross-pollinated to create this truly amazing pumpkin. Not only is powdery mildew resistant, but it is also resistant to squash vine borers!
When you plant the Tetsukabuto, as the roots expand underground, they protect other plants by naturally fighting off diseases while enhancing other plants' performance. The roots spread underground and protect those around them. This is known as rootstock. Plants that benefit the most when planted near the Tetsukabuto are melon-type varieties and cucumbers.
On top of being delicious, as this grows it is a guard dog and cheerleader for plants around it! This garden phenomenon is sweet and nutty so it can be used in sweet or savory dishes. Tetsukabuto is deliciously roasted and has been described as having notes of browned butter and hazelnut.
**This pumpkin has a lot of benefits, but it will only produce fruits if planted near/with butternut squash, kabocha, Hubbard, or butternut squash to produce fruit.
