Crackerjack Marigold seed mix
This marigold variety is an unsung hero in the garden. Besides having stunning blooms that can reach 3-4 inches across, this variety is rabbit and dear resistant, a pest deterrent and versatile companion plant, disease resistant, fragrant, drought tolerant, long-lasting blooms, and much much more.
The blooms on these are extremely compact with layers and layers of ruffled petals. The bees and butterflies are drawn to these as well. These do grow tall, up to 36". You want to plant these in containers, or near plants and veggies that are even taller as you don't want these to shade out your crops.
We grow these every year, and they are like towers of bright colors all over the gardens. This is a mix of yellows, golds, and oranges. We put these in containers and strategically put them around the gardens like a barrier to deter harmful insects and attract ladybugs to fight the aphids.
These will start to bloom mid-summer. If you wish to enjoy their ample blooms earlier, start them inside before the last anticipated frost date in your gardening zone.
