Queensland Blue Pumpkin seeds
This Winter squash is one of the more unique shaped varieties around. Once matured, the Queensland Blue pumpkin is a dark blue/grey color with thick skin. The flesh inside is a golden yellow with a drier texture that lends itself better to dishes that are baked or boiled. The top and the bottom of the pumpkin are flattened with a tapered middle.
The Queensland Blue Pumpkin was introduced to the U.S. from Australia back in the 1930s. The storage of this squash is incredible. Once ripe, if stored in a cool and dry place, it can last 5-6 months, so it can last you through the Winter. Each medium-sized pumpkin will range from 8 lbs- to 10 lbs.
