Meadow in a bag seed blend

SKU: MB8261

Wild Flower in a bag is a blend of 20 diverse, colorful, pollinator-attracting wildflowers and grass seeds. If you want to build a fairy garden in a half whiskey pot (use seeds sparingly for this), or if you have a bare spot in your grass, toss this seed down and watch your meadow grow. Once grown, your mini meadow will create a habitat for beneficial insects, bees, and butterflies.

On hot days, bees will actually rest and seek shade under ground covers, and in grasses. This mix is also ideal to fill in any underutilized or unused garden space. This meadow mix will also add organic matter and increase available nitrogen in the earth which will increase earthworms and beneficial microorganisms. This mix is hardy in zones 3 and above. The grass grows 10-24” tall and the flowers are as tall or taller. The grass is sheep fescue, reminiscent of a magical fairytale meadow.

This mix of seeds consists of the following seeds: Annual Baby’s Breath, Black-Eyed Susan, Catchfly, Cornflower, Corn Poppy, Dwarf Evening Primrose, Foxglove, Gayfeather, Indian Blanket, Lance-Leaved Coreopsis, New England Aster, Perennial Lupine, Purple Coneflower, Scarlet Flax, Shasta Daisy, Siberian Wallflower, Smooth Penstemon, Spurred Snapdragon and Sweet William Pinks.

This item has 1 oz. of seed, enough for 25 sq. feet of coverage. The grass and flowers can get tall so plan your meadow accordingly. The perennial varieties will come back each year of course as will the grass. The annuals will reseed in the same spot and come back the following year.
