Strawberry Spinach seeds
This is a fun one! Strawberry spinach is a native relative of the modern-day spinach plant. This variety was discovered back in the 1600s. The name comes from the very colorful berries on the stem of the spinach. The berries bear a slight resemblance and color to strawberries. The berries are mild in flavor if picked young, but the real treat is leaving them to maturity as they become sweet and juicy. Both the greens and the berries add wonderful texture and variety to salads.
Strawberry spinach is also great for sautéed dishes. Due to its light spinach flavor and mild-flavored berries, you have two flavor profiles in one. This will reseed and come back year after year. These also do very well in containers.
