Shokichi Green Mini-Kabocha seeds
This is a smaller compact version of your standard market Kabocha. Due to their smaller size, these are ideal for people who have limited space, need to trellis, or like to cook with each squash serving one person since they are smaller. Each vine will produce a generous 5 - 7 fruits and each ranging from a grey-green outer skin. The flesh inside is golden orange and sweet with a flaky drier texture. These are often mistaken for buttercup squash but are similar in look and flavor.
These are great when stuffed and baked. Why not try them with a stuffing of sauteed onion, zucchini, rosemary, olive oil, and mushrooms? These are great vessels to enjoy the flavors of Fall all in one bite.
