Metechi Garlic

Metechi Garlic

SKU: S286114

In the middle of the season, you'll find Metechi, a member of the Purple Stripe garlic family. This hardneck variety packs a punch with its strong garlic flavor and a noticeable bite. When consumed raw, it offers an intense, fiery heat that lingers with a satisfying spice. However, cooking this garlic will mellow out the heat while preserving its bold garlic essence.

Metechi is known for its robust bulbs, tightly encased in white wrappers, containing 4-6 substantial cloves adorned in blush-toned skin with subtle purple accents. Additionally, these plants demonstrate remarkable cold-hardiness and boast broad, upright leaves, making them a resilient choice for your garlic garden.

***We sell garlic by the clove rather than by the head, enabling us to thoroughly inspect each clove to ensure its quality and to guarantee that there are no signs of mold or undesirable cloves.
