Strawberry Crown Pumpkin Seeds
This variety was originally found in Brazil then brought to the U.S back in 1991. We grew this for the first time this year and this was the very first to blossom and bear fruit, so it's an early grower. Strawberry Crown Pumpkin is truly beautiful in that it's a mix of grays and brown-ish hues, but may blush or turn a subtle salmon color on the top hence the name "strawberry crown". It also has crisp bright tiger stripes along its subtle ribs.
The flesh of the Strawberry Crown is creamy, smooth, and not stringy. It leans more savory than sweet and lends itself well to dishes that are baked or roasted. Each pumpkin will average 6-8 pounds.
